I mean it is a tax text book, so I am excited about it as some might imagine. Technically it's pretty good. There are a few misprints. It offers a lot of knowledge regarding taxing authorities.
This book is very confusing. First of all, it organizes the content by using strange number system like .01, .03. Why does it skip .02? The writing is confusing as well. For example, are TAMS, FSAs, GCM, etc. all primary sources? Is substantial authority equivalent to primary authority? A tax bill is an Act "once the bill passes either house." Will it become law if it just passes either (house or senate)?
This book doesn't teach tax research. It has very few search examples. It doesn't show you any research methodology and technique. It mostly talks about the sources and it doesn't even do a good job doing that. With the sketchy information provided, you will fumble on research by yourself.
