Julianne is a young beautiful girl living in Colorado with one major problem: Terrel Lee, her not so welcome suitor. There is nothing wrong with Terrel Lee, and that's the problem. He's always a gentleman, always neat and tidy and always there whenever Julianne looks around. Julianne feels stifled by his reserved manner and after he overhears her talking about him with a friend the courtship seems over. Then, with the help of a gang of outlaws and adventure they both start to see each other in a different light.
My Thoughts:
What a sweet and fun ride. The book would probably benefit from being a bit longer to explain a bit more about Julianne's friend or an epilogue to just tie all the lose ends together. Other than that I really enjoyed it. Terrel Lee was a perfect lead who loved Julianne for all the things she was told were her faults and she learned to understand Terrel Lee and saw behind the facade to the man beneath. It was nice to read a story where the man is in love and totally besotted while the woman isn't sure if he's the one. The only real negative was his name was Terrel Lee.
All in all a nice novella, if a bit overpriced for the length.
