This is the first book by Eve Dangerfield that I have read, and going by what i just read, it certainly will not be my last. It had everything in it, intrigue, mystery, suspense, humour and some very very hot and steamy sex scenes. Add into the mix a woman who is: strong, funny, witty, sarcastic and extremely smart and three men who are so totally different from each other, but who are so vital in the scheme of things, and you have the perfect story.Daniel (and yes she's a female), is an extraordinary woman with supernatural powers/abilities. Her story is amazing, it is fast paced from the moment her journey begins. We follow Dani from Fance, to England and then through to California, with her are three of the hottest security guards that I have ever had the pleasure of reading about, John, Colton and Sebastian. I loved all three men because they each brought a different element to the story.
There is more going on throughout this book than what you actually realise, but this is not found out until the book is almost over It is another one of those little twists that Ms Dangerfield enjoys throwing into the mix, to make her reader think even more. Just when you think you have it all worked out - BANG - another twist or another corner is thrown in.
This would have to be have been one of the best erotica books that I have read, simply because the storyline that was involved was mesmerising. I will definitely be readng more of Eve Dangerfield's books. Even though it was a lengthy read, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I need more!!!!

I absolutely loved this book, stayed up hella late to finish it, and I've already re-read it three times. It's that addictive. Eve Dangerfield is a new author to me, but if this is any indication, it won't be the last book I read by her. The blurb summarizes the plot pretty nicely, so I won't go into it. The one thing that really blew me out of the water with this book, and kept me hooked right until the end, were the characters. The author really makes them come alive as people, with all their flaws and crazy humor. I've read a lot of books, and I mean a lot, and I have never, ever come across a character quite like Daniel, with her unusual name and even weirder personality and biological quirks. I absolutely adored her. Her lines were so outrageously hilarious they frequently had me snorting with laughter. She's crude, vulgar, and curses worse than a sailor, but she's a verifiable genius with a soft heart and a whole host of insecurities brought about by her condition.
And the guys, John, Colt, and Seb; she made each come alive with their distinctive personalities. Sometimes in these sorts of situations with multiple love interests it can be hard to keep track of who is who--not so in Taunt. Each character has their own personalities and there's no mistaking them for anyone else right from the beginning.
I have to say, this is probably the best mature, 18+, reverse harem novel I've read to date. It's not all sex. The love scenes are hot, no doubt, but it was the added emotional aspect of the characters that really makes this book awesome. I loved Seb's struggle to be seen as more than a goodie-two-shoes, Colt's insecurities about his age, and John's emotional hang-ups about both his abilities and his tastes in the bedroom, and I loved Daniel's quirks. It all made them seem more human and real. Basically, I just loved everything about this book and the characters and want more, now please!
I received an ARC, and loved it so much, I had to have my own copy. How can something something be so hot and embarrassingly hilarious at the same time? So this was a fun Erotic Thriller (oohh love the way that sounds). Daniel aka Dani (gonna call her that instead cause it reminds me of Khaleesi- LOL [inside joke if you read it]) has to deal with a load of trouble in the form of two organizations, one being her kidnappers and the other an uninformed security team who believe they're guarding a bad guy. The tables get turned on them when she comes into the house set up in California, a property by the ocean with everything handed to her if she asks for it. These three guys, Colt, John and Seb (SEEEEBBBB) have a lot on their plates with this woman. You think she'll let them take her quietly? Think again. Cameras are set up everywhere in the house, and if she has to suffer, so do they.
She's funny, shockingly adorable and hilariously blunt. Dani has a chemical imbalance that allows her to be immune to pain and laugh when she should be crying. Or at the very least, offering a sympathetic smile instead of a manic clown one. I love the situation life's put her in. I've never read of a character with such a problem, and if anything, it made her personality a thousand times more hilarious. She talks about things some people aren't used to thinking to themselves, let alone saying aloud. Her interaction with the guys were both hot and sweet. Hot because you totally know the chemistry's gonna get them into trouble, sweet because they've all got their problems, and to see them interact the way they do, with that hint of vulnerability, just makes you wanna go AAAWWWWW!!!! Which I totally did. Every. Time.
It's a 4.5 for me because I had a bit of a hard time with the flow but aside from that the rest was gold. I really hope to see them soon cause despite the 'end of the world' taking a break on the back burner of this book, there's still technically so much time they have left and I NEED TO KNOW what'll happen. Definitely a book to try out for all you 'love that sexy stuff' readers.
